Support Assistant for Newly Opened Facility

About the Workplace

In spring 2024, a new facility opened according to the BoDa concept, BoDa Djuramossa. BoDa means that in one and the same facility, there is both accommodation and daily activities where the starting point is to offer a tailored environment for the target group. Here, you will follow the individual within both daily activities and in the group home. The facility is beautifully located between Domsten and Viken, creating opportunities for nature-inspired activities.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant with us, you will work to support, guide, and assist in various everyday situations, as well as provide support in creating and maintaining social contacts and relationships. All support measures, such as activities, cleaning, laundry, food, personal support, and physical care, are based on individual needs and wishes in accordance with LSS (the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). The goal is to create conditions for a meaningful everyday life and to promote independence and participation.

Challenging behavior and self-harming behavior are common, which is why it is important that you work from a low-arousal approach.

You will work systematically with social documentation, and the work is planned, documented, and followed up carefully.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a high school diploma from the health and care program or has studied the child and leisure program with a focus on social and pedagogical work.

To succeed in the role, it is required that you have knowledge and experience of working with individuals who occasionally exhibit very challenging and outwardly aggressive behavior, and it is important that you are confident in your knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal responses.

To proceed in the recruitment process, you also need to have:

  • basic computer skills and documentation experience
  • a B driver's license and access to a car, or have another way to get to the workplace (which is not accessible via public transport)
  • good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you can use TAKK or sign language.
