Mission:

The mission involves you and your team being responsible for providing the best conditions for a good start in life for the youth. You will work with the youth in a personal, responsible, and professional manner.

Our target group consists of youth of varying ages, who, in addition to social issues, often have one or more neuropsychiatric diagnoses. Additionally, the youth may have other psychiatric symptoms or diagnoses, where outwardly aggressive behavior and anxiety issues are common. Therefore, your ability to remain calm and clear-headed in challenging situations is of great importance for the position. A degree of persistence and endurance are also beneficial traits for the work.

The central part of the work is to create development towards the goals in the implementation plan, as well as your ability to document this.

Information about the position:

Scope: Approximately 82 %

Location: Sölvesborg

Working hours: Rotating schedule, day and night shifts

Start: By agreement

Employment type: Permanent position with a 6-month probationary period

Requirements

Post-secondary education of at least two years in social work or behavioral science. This could be a social worker, behavioral scientist, social educator, treatment educator, nurse with a focus on psychiatry, among others. Another requirement is that you have work experience from similar assignments with children/youth within the target group. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, and a B driver's license are additional requirements.

Meritorious

We prefer that you have at least three years of experience in treatment work at HVB. Training or courses tailored for neuropsychiatry or other aspects of the described target group and various diagnoses, such as autism and ADHD. Experience working with individuals with neuropsychiatric diagnoses and challenging behaviors such as OCD. Knowledge of low-arousal approaches and handling threats and violence. Basic knowledge of BBIC. Experience with various journal systems.

Personal qualities:

As a person, you have a genuine pedagogical approach. You possess the ability to build lasting relationships where you can alternate between setting boundaries and showing care and warmth!

You have a good ability to stop, redirect, extinguish, divert, and motivate children and youth with undesirable behaviors. Furthermore, you maintain a professional approach in your interactions with the youth, where you consider your own impact on the youth's behavior and feelings. You have a curiosity about the youth, as well as a strong desire to work towards the established goals in the implementation plan. You are also a responsible person who approaches your tasks with great care and commitment.
