Vocational Teacher/Instructor in the Automotive and Transport Sector

We are a leading school municipality with knowledge for life. The administration is responsible for childcare and education from preschool to adult education. The operations include clear elements of entrepreneurship as well as music school, youth center, and student health. The municipality has a long tradition of education, and in addition to one of Sweden's oldest schools from 1641, there is also Sweden's Agricultural University, Skara School Scene, and Axevalla Horse Center.

We are looking for a committed and experienced vocational teacher/instructor who wants to help shape the future professionals in the automotive and transport sector.

The Role

You will plan and conduct both theoretical and practical lessons in a workshop environment. You will teach driving theory and supervise practical driving for B, C, and CE licenses as well as YKB. An important part of the role is to assess and follow up on students' knowledge development and to plan and implement workplace-based learning (APL). You will also be responsible for ensuring that the teaching follows applicable regulations and the school's routines. Additionally, you will ensure that students adhere to safety regulations and work responsibly in the workshop area.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a pedagogical education, is willing to further educate themselves to become a vocational teacher, or has extensive professional experience in the automotive and transport sector.
• Is communicative and pedagogical with the ability to create a safe and inspiring learning environment for our students.
• Has a genuine interest in working with youth and wants to contribute to their development and future.
• Has a creative and initiative-taking ability, with a willingness to think outside the box and develop teaching methods.
• Has a good ability to structure, plan, organize, and follow up on the educational work based on existing regulations.

Employment Conditions

The position is permanent, full-time (100%). Start date is 2025-08-08 or by agreement.
