System Engineer at Saab in Arboga

Your Role

As a system engineer with us, you will work with communication systems and networks with our customers. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of development, operation, and decommissioning of systems and subsystems. The role means that you will work in a team with specialists and project managers where you will need to communicate and collaborate to deliver together.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

• Develop and design new systems for airborne and ground-based communication
• Develop and maintain existing communication systems
• Preparation of reports
• Develop new solutions and present them to customers
• System work - analyze and interpret specifications
• Deployment and support at customer sites
• Integration between different systems

The position is located in Arboga.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a civil or university engineer and has a few years of work experience in a similar role. You have a passionate interest in technology and are a driven person who wants to develop and be challenged. To thrive with us, you should also be self-driven, collaborative, and flexible.

We believe you have a few years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Networks and communication
• Radio systems
• Cisco routers and switches
• VoIP, Cisco CUCM
• IT security
• Customization and integration between different systems
• Documentation

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with FMV communication systems
• Complex computer networks
• Training and mentoring
• Network administration and monitoring
• Reading and understanding code
• Linux

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, there may be requirements for certain citizenship.
