The Surveillance business area offers effective solutions for monitoring and decision support, and systems to detect and protect against various types of threats. The product portfolio includes airborne, land-based, and maritime radar systems, signal intelligence and self-protection systems, command systems, as well as systems for maritime and air traffic control.

Your Role

We are now looking for technical project managers who want to come and work with us within PU Communications to act in both delivery projects and product projects. With us, you will have the chance to lead the work of integrating the world's leading systems across all three domains: air, land, and sea.

The technical project manager has overall technical responsibility for ensuring that the project delivers the required results within budget. This involves leading and planning technical activities, both internally and externally.

Being a technical project manager also means:

• Leading and ensuring progress regarding the technical work within the projects
• Being responsible for customer and supplier contact for the technical aspects
• Supporting the project manager with documentation during customer contacts
• Monitoring project activities and ensuring the project's commitments and progress through active leadership
• Coordinating and defining internal technical functions, including defining the scope of the project, timeline, budget, and resource needs
• Having the ability to conduct system analyses of prospects from the Win Business phase, having sufficient technical understanding to create documentation for cost calculations, and also driving/leaving design activities

The location for this position is in Arboga.

Your Profile

You are a person with solid experience in technical project management. You have an engineering degree, preferably at the master's level, and several years of experience in systems work. You have a good ability to find effective solutions and can easily navigate the organization and communicate with our internal suppliers to solve and prevent problems and challenges.

The position also includes a lot of communication with external customers, which requires good business acumen, as well as good knowledge of both Swedish and English in writing and speaking.

Knowledge and work experience supported by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) is an advantage. Experience in the defense industry is also a plus.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
