Unit's Mission

The Eastern Gothenburg unit primarily operates in the northeastern parts of Gothenburg. In addition to the Gothenburg area, the unit is also responsible for the municipalities of Partille, Lerum, Alingsås, Vårgårda, and Herrljunga. We are about 140 employees working within the unit, divided into several sections. Travel is required for this position.

Job Description

We are looking for several new employees for various assignments, including SIUS (Special Introduction and Follow-up Support), work with labor market-oriented rehabilitation, and mapping of skills needs.

A central part of the job is to inform and communicate about the Employment Agency's mission, services, rights, and obligations. Through conversations, you will map competencies, support needs, and propose concrete measures. This may include guidance, educational initiatives, or the development of job search strategies. You will stay updated on the labor market and employers' recruitment needs.

You can handle both positive and negative news in a respectful manner. You have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and can explain regulations and adapt your language to the situation. Meeting job seekers and employers in personal meetings, by phone, and in digital meetings is a natural part of the job.

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period. The place of employment is either our office in Gamlestaden in Gothenburg or Alingsås.

Basic Requirements for the Position

• A university degree of at least 180 credits/120 points, or you are/have been employed as an Employment Officer at the Employment Agency and are assessed to have good qualifications to meet today's requirements for Employment Officers
• At least two years of combined work experience of at least 50 percent
• Very good knowledge of communicating in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good reading comprehension
• Driver's license B

Other Merits for the Position

• Experience in public authority work in the last two years
• Experience working with people with disabilities in the last two years
• Experience in labor market-oriented rehabilitation in the last two years
