Welcome to Bengtsfors Municipality! This is us

Children, education, leisure, and culture are one of four operational areas in Bengtsfors Municipality. Within this area, we are responsible for preschools, schools, cultural schools, student health, libraries, and more, thus having contact with a large proportion of the residents in Bengtsfors Municipality. We are now looking for a coordinator for our adapted primary school.

Our own adapted operations are integrated with the primary school across two units. In addition, the adapted education within adult education is carried out in close collaboration with LSS.

This is your job

The role of the coordinator involves ensuring that the rights of the student group are upheld and that the municipality's operations maintain their high quality. This means coordinating planning for the student group with the principal and municipal educator to monitor the needs of the operation and create the basis for decisions regarding admissions or agreements with other school authorities.

You will be closely involved in the daily work of the teams to coordinate the activities of the school units in collaboration with school management and student health, aiming to influence the internal organization of the operations with the best interests of the students in mind. Together with the principal, you will help maintain the operations and shared resources such as teaching tools and professional development. The assignment is very varied in its content, with many collaborative arenas, ranging from our own schools' activities and collaboration with other units in the municipality to participating in networks in Dalsland and our collaborative area V9.

This is what we are looking for in you

We are looking for someone who preferably has a background in adapted education and is interested in taking on coordination and development work. You have pedagogical insight through studies or work and may see this as a first step towards leadership assignments in close collaboration with experienced principals.

Building connections comes naturally to you, and you find it easy to collaborate with children, guardians, staff, and colleagues. You are responsible and have the ability to create and convey structure and order. Being service-oriented and having the ability to work towards overarching, common goals are important qualities for us.

It is also important to be able to drive competence issues and contribute to organizing the operations effectively, as well as to work with employees to drive development within the operations. Your fundamental view should be characterized by seeing opportunities and having a positive attitude towards challenges.

Conditions for the position

The position of coordinator is a permanent full-time employment starting in August 2025. A valid extract from the criminal record, a driver's license, and access to Bank ID are required for the position.
