We are now looking for a driven purchaser to join our team, with an interest in deepening their knowledge in the procurement of technical consultants.

About us

The position is located in the procurement and purchasing unit, which is part of the city management administration and belongs to the department of economy and operational management. As a purchaser, you will be part of a team of 15 dedicated and skilled employees.

Purchasing occurs in all city operations, and the procurement and purchasing unit has a supportive and guiding role in the city's purchasing work. We carry out purchases and procurements, analyze and continuously monitor the city's contract compliance and purchasing patterns to identify new areas for development.

Solna City is a municipality with a lot of operations outsourced, which means that we in the procurement and purchasing unit have an important function for the entire city's mission.

What the job entails

As a purchaser, you will be responsible for the purchasing process with a particular focus on call-offs and follow-up of technical consultants based on ABK09. You will also conduct renewed competitive bidding and direct procurements and monitor and manage the unit's functional mailbox for call-offs of technical consultants.

You will monitor deliveries, handle complaints, ensure that purchases are made correctly based on procured agreements, and ensure that the city's operations receive their deliveries on time. You will be in contact with consultants and suppliers to ensure high quality and delivery precision. Furthermore, you will continuously meet the needs of the administrations and municipal companies for call-offs, administrative support, purchasing expertise, analysis, business consulting, and training efforts.

Your work will involve being proactive and driving for the municipality to make good deals while following guidelines and regulations for all purchases. You will also work to establish and anchor the working methods and processes we have developed.

In your role, you will work on the development and quality assurance of the purchasing process, where you are expected to actively contribute to the development and establishment of a category-based purchasing approach together with your colleagues.

Who are you?

You have:

• education in economics, law, technology, or equivalent education relevant to procurement
• good knowledge of LOU
• the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• good knowledge of the Office suite
• a strong interest in purchasing, development, and change

It is meritorious if you have knowledge of or experience with:

• working in digital procurement tools
• category-based working methods
• ABK09, AB, ABT
• the public sector.

You are a driven and unpretentious purchaser. In your role, you are expected to work independently, but you are happy to contribute to the development of the organization and your colleagues by sharing your expertise and experience. In this role, it is important to be relationship-building and not afraid to make new contacts.

You are confident in your role, a good communicator, and have the ability to translate the needs of the organization into action. You take initiative and are proactive in seeking information.

Furthermore, you are financially aware, responsible, judicious, and you work methodically and structured towards clear deadlines.
