Your new job
In this role, you will work as a teacher in after-school care and also collaborate with schools. Main responsibilities include:
- Being responsible for the educational work in after-school care.
- Planning, implementing, and following up on activities that strengthen the connection to the curriculum goals and other governing documents in the primary school's mission.
- Having a holistic perspective on students' development and learning.
- Providing students the opportunity to learn in new creative ways and apply knowledge in practice.
- Ensuring that after-school care is a valuable complement to students' schooling.
- Developing students' abilities, social development, and self-confidence.
- Building trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
- Promoting a good learning environment that meets students during their free time.
Welcome to us
Kumlabyskolan is an F-6 school on Visingsö with about 30 students. We have nice and functional premises and an outdoor environment that invites play and movement. The school also has after-school care. Kumlabyskolan is located in a rich cultural area, offering opportunities for leisure activities and nature experiences that provide the best conditions for a pleasant school environment.
Our conviction is that a good school starts with teachers who have solid knowledge, good relationships with students, and high expectations that everyone can and wants to succeed in school. This is how we want Kumlabyskolan to be.

Your qualifications
- Qualified teacher with a teaching license for work in after-school care, or a candidate who has not yet received their teaching license or is at the end of their education.
- Well grounded in the primary school's mission and its governing documents.
- Experience in after-school care or school is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
- Basic IT skills.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Good to know
Opening and closing times in after-school care may vary. You will need to take a ferry to get to work.
