The vision of Vallbacksskolan is to have secure students with high goal fulfillment, and we actively work to achieve this. Approximately 550 students in grades 7-9 and in adapted primary school grades 6-9 attend our school. We also have an autism spectrum group. To ensure that our students feel secure and achieve high goal fulfillment, our focus areas are:

Children, parents, and staff within the school should feel that the operations are meaningful and lead to favorable development. Learning should take place in a safe and positive atmosphere. In the Vallbacks principal area, all focus is directed towards the children. The students' learning needs are a guiding star in the operations. Teachers' satisfaction lies in ensuring that when students leave Vallbacksskolan, they are well prepared and motivated for further studies in high school. Learning should be enjoyable!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher for grades 7-9, you will work with instruction, have class responsibility, and be responsible for mapping, planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. The work is carried out according to decided goals and guidelines. Your responsibilities also include mentorship and collaborating with your colleagues to create a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. You challenge and support students to achieve good academic results and adapt your teaching to meet all students' needs and conditions. The work is performed in collaboration with other educators, student health, guardians, and other actors outside the school.

In accordance with Gävle Municipality's values, you have a good attitude, a strong ability to collaborate, and prioritize high quality in your work.

You as the final candidate must be able to present a criminal record from the police for work within the school or preschool. This should not be attached to your application.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and teaching license with the authority to teach in grades 7-9 and the subjects of English and Swedish. You are familiar with and knowledgeable about the primary school curriculum. To teach in grades 7-9, we believe it is important that you can express yourself well in the Swedish language in both speech and writing and adapt your language to the current situation. You have knowledge of and experience with digital tools, such as documentation in Unikum or Office.

To succeed as a teacher at Vallbackskolan, you have the ability to lead and motivate students and help them feel comfortable and well at school. You are good at creating an open dialogue and adapting your language to the situation, as well as having a strong ability to make students feel a sense of belonging and inclusion. It is important that you are structured and plan your work well.

As a person, you have an unpretentious attitude in your collaboration with colleagues, guardians, and actors outside the school. You also adapt to different situations and have the ability to change your perspective and approach. You see opportunities in changes.
