Stigslunds School is a workplace with about 600 students, of which 330 are in secondary school, and about 60 staff members. It is a school for grades F-9 located in a beautiful outdoor environment about 3 km from Gävle city center. In the past year, we have received several new school buildings that have positively impacted the learning environment.

We actively work with preventive and promotional efforts to maintain a safe environment and good working conditions at our school. We create good conditions for this through engaged educators, an active student health team, and present school leadership. We have good cooperation with homes, which is important and a prerequisite for us to succeed in our mission. Stigslunds School is looking for a certified teacher who will work with teaching in grades 7-9 in the natural sciences and mathematics. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. The work is carried out according to established goals and guidelines. The assignment also includes mentorship and collaborating with your colleagues to design a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. You challenge and support the students so that they achieve good academic results. The work is done in collaboration with other engaged educators, student health, guardians, and other actors outside the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and teaching certification with qualifications to teach in grades 7-9 in the subjects of mathematics and natural sciences. You are familiar with and knowledgeable about the primary school curriculum.

You have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. You have knowledge of and experience with digital tools, such as documentation in Unikum, the Office suite, and navigating in Teams.

As a person, you have the ability to lead and motivate students, helping them to feel comfortable and thrive. You are structured and plan your work well. You have a talent for creating an open dialogue and adapting your language to the situation. You have a knack for making students feel a sense of belonging and inclusion. Furthermore, you take initiative in social contexts and have the ability to build trusting relationships. Finally, you also have a humble approach in your collaboration with others.
