Hälsinglands Education Association is looking for a Construction Teacher

Hälsinglands Education Association is a municipal federation formed by the municipalities of Bollnäs and Söderhamn with the mission to meet students' demand for education with breadth and quality.

The federation's work is characterized by being a driving force for growth, a broker of education, and a meeting place for development. We run upper secondary and adult education for the municipalities' residents, as well as provide opportunities for vocational higher education and distance studies at colleges and universities. We also offer commissioned training to companies and organizations, as well as opportunities for research and development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching upper secondary students in the Construction and Civil Engineering program at Torsbergsgymnasiet. We prefer that you have worked as a vocational teacher or have been a mentor for students in the Construction and Civil Engineering program. In the role of Construction Teacher, you will teach and work with a group of students who are being prepared for work in the construction industry during their time in upper secondary school. You are responsible for planning and conducting lessons both in the school's facilities and in collaboration with our APL placements. An important part of the job is the contact with students who are out on workplace-based learning (APL), which means that you will have ongoing collaboration with our partner companies and mentors throughout Hälsingland. You also have a mentoring role where you follow the students' studies, are aware of their needs, and support them in achieving their goal of a high school diploma.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone who is a licensed teacher and qualified to teach at the upper secondary level. Industry experience is a given for the position. We are looking for a teacher who is engaged in both the students' knowledge development and social development, and who has a positive and flexible attitude towards their work. You need to be able to inspire, engage, and motivate students to learn, while also being a secure adult in the school environment. We would like you to have:
