Hälsinglands Education Association is a municipal association formed by the municipalities of Bollnäs and Söderhamn with the mission to meet students' demand for education with breadth and quality.

The association's work should be characterized by being a driving force for growth, a broker of education, and a meeting place for development. We provide upper secondary and adult education for the municipalities' residents, as well as opportunities for higher vocational education and distance studies at colleges and universities. We also offer commissioned training to companies and organizations, as well as opportunities for research and development.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Hälsinglands Education Association is looking for a teacher for the bandy high school at Torsbergsgymnasiet in Bollnäs, which is a National Sports Education (NIU) approved by the Swedish National Agency for Education and the Swedish Bandy Association. Hufb offers NIU in bandy, figure skating, athletics, and table tennis, as well as National Sports Gymnasium (RIG) in para-athletics and table tennis. In addition, we have local sports profiles in other sports in collaboration with our local sports clubs.

The NIU position is part-time (50%) and primarily involves planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in the subject of Special Sports for our bandy students. For applicants with a teaching license, instruction in another subject may be added depending on the applicant's qualifications, and the position will then be full-time. In addition to teaching, other tasks related to the teaching profession are included, such as documentation of students' academic results and possibly mentorship. As a teacher at NIU, you will be responsible for the overall well-being of our bandy students, including sports, school, housing, and mental health. Contact with guardians is therefore also a natural part, as well as contacts with Bollnäs Bandy since the education is planned and carried out in close collaboration with the association.

As a teacher at NIU Bandy, you will also work closely with our other NIU/RIG and profile sports teachers, and together with the school management, you will be responsible for and carry out a systematic quality and development work of our sports high school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone who is a licensed teacher with the qualification to teach the subject of special sports with a focus on bandy at the upper secondary level; a teaching license is also a requirement for permanent employment as a teacher. If you lack a teaching license, you may be considered for a temporary position, in which case we place great importance on personal suitability for the various responsibilities of the role. As a teacher, you have a good ability to communicate the goals of the teaching, to clarify your assessment for the students, as well as to adapt your working method to the target group. Documented leadership experience in bandy is meritorious; we would like you to have completed the Swedish Bandy Association's elite coach education and have experience with elite-oriented assignments. If you lack relevant education, we want you to plan to complete the training that may be required for the profession.
