Nordanstig Municipality consists of several school locations with approximately 900 students and a shared secondary school in Bergsjö.

Bergsjö School is a K-9 school with around 500 students. The adapted primary school 1-10 also operates in the same premises.

Together, we work towards higher goal fulfillment and a more equitable school. The Swedish National Agency for Education, Umeå University, SPSM, Mid Sweden University, and RUC-X are some of the partners we collaborate with to achieve this.

We strive for equity and the same conditions between schools, as all students meet at the municipality's secondary school. About the job

We are looking for qualified teachers with certification in wood and textile crafts who want to work with our students in grades 4-9. The position can be combined with other subjects.

If you choose to join us, you will be part of a team with several teachers who teach the same classes as you. You will also be part of a subject team where you plan together and exchange ideas and thoughts.

The daily work includes all tasks that are part of a teacher's assignment. Individually and together with your colleagues, you will plan, implement, evaluate, and ensure high-quality teaching that creates context and challenges students at the right level. Together with the school's staff, you will contribute to collegial learning.

Qualifications

You are a qualified teacher with certification in the subject. As a person, you have good leadership skills, an understanding of people's different abilities to absorb knowledge, and can adapt your teaching accordingly. You involve students in the planning and can make visible and further develop their learning processes. You reflect on your work systematically, both individually and together with your colleagues, and are committed to creating a safe learning environment with focus, trust, and respect. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
