Hairdresser Teacher Wanted for the Craft Program at Torsbergsgymnasiet

The Hälsingland Education Association is a municipal association formed by the municipalities of Bollnäs and Söderhamn with the mission to meet students' demand for education with breadth and quality.

The association's work is characterized by being a driver for growth, a broker of education, and a meeting place for development. We run upper secondary and adult education for the municipalities' residents, as well as providing opportunities for higher vocational education and distance studies at colleges and universities. We also offer commissioned training for companies and organizations, as well as opportunities for research and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We have now launched the Craft Program at Torsbergsgymnasiet, and interest from students is high. Therefore, we are looking for a hairdresser teacher for a temporary position during a colleague's parental leave. In the role of hairdresser teacher, you will teach and work with a group of students who are being prepared for work in the hairdressing industry during their time in upper secondary school. You are responsible for planning and conducting lessons both in the school's premises and in collaboration with our APL placements. An important part of the job is the contact with students who are out on workplace-based learning (APL), which means that you will have ongoing cooperation with our partner companies and supervisors throughout Hälsingland. You also have a mentoring role where you follow the students' studies, are aware of their needs, and support them in achieving their goal of a secondary school diploma.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone who is a licensed vocational teacher with the authority to teach at the upper secondary level. Industry experience is essential for the position, and having a journeyman's certificate as a hairdresser is an advantage. We seek a teacher who is engaged in both the students' academic and social development and who has a positive and flexible attitude towards their work. You need to be able to inspire, engage, and motivate students to learn, while also being a reliable adult in the school environment. We would like you to have:

• Interest in working in a team and contributing to the development of the program team
