Solängsskolan is a F-6 school in central Gävle, close to Boulognerskogen, Fjärran Höjderbadet, and Gävle Concert Hall. Our goal is to provide every student from preschool class to grade 6 with the best possible conditions for success in school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you attracted to creating an inspiring environment and contributing to students' development, growth, and creativity? Great, then you might be the leisure teacher we are looking for at Solängsskolan!

You will be responsible for planning and teaching in the leisure center for older students. The work also includes implementing and evaluating the activities according to set goals and guidelines.

Together with your colleagues, you will help create a school where everyone feels safe and seen as students, guardians, and staff. The work is carried out in collaboration with other educators, student health, and guardians.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are now looking for someone who has a teaching license with the authority to teach in the leisure center. This means that you are familiar with and knowledgeable about the curriculum for primary school as well as for preschool classes and leisure centers. It is important that you have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language in both speech and writing and that you also have knowledge of and experience with digital tools such as Office and Unikum.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in social contexts and is skilled at building trusting relationships. You have an unpretentious approach in your collaboration with others. Furthermore, you are good at making students feel a sense of belonging and inclusion. You have a good ability to lead and motivate students, ensuring they thrive, feel good, and feel a sense of belonging.

In this role, it is important that you work in a structured manner and plan your work well. You are good at prioritizing and using resources to achieve results in the best possible way. By nature, you are curious and open to new solutions. You adapt to different situations and have the ability to change your perspective and approach. You see opportunities in changes.
