Do you want to contribute to the development of Jönköping through strategic planning and collaboration? Do you have experience in project management and thrive in a role where you coordinate and drive projects forward? Then we have the job for you!

Your New Job

As a project manager in action planning at the City Planning Office, you will help shape the future of Jönköping! You play a crucial role in planning and preparing the municipality's investment projects in public space so that they are well-founded, feasible, and in line with the municipality's strategies before they proceed to implementation.

Your role involves prioritizing deficiencies and needs, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and leading investigation and pre-project phases.

Your main tasks include:

  • Leading early phases, including investigation and pre-project phases, and coordinating project groups.
  • Clarifying deficiencies and needs in collaboration with the strategic department of the City Planning Office, based on strategic documents and analyses.
  • Developing project directives and assignment descriptions, including project goals, scope, and budget, in dialogue with the department head and other stakeholders.
  • Following up on projects and ensuring that implementation meets established goals and frameworks.
  • Coordinating and aligning the department's projects with other internal and external actors to create an efficient and solution-oriented process.
  • Contributing to the department's financial planning, including budget support and monitoring of financial frameworks.

In this role, you will have a central point of contact with internal and external actors, and you will have the opportunity to influence the development of the entire city. An important part of your work is to contribute to a good collaborative culture and a positive work environment.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in infrastructure, road and water, urban planning, or another relevant education combined with experience we consider equivalent.
  • Experience in project management within community building or construction and a good understanding of urban planning processes, especially project design.
  • Experience in the client role, including procurement and management of consulting resources in investigations and pre-projecting.
  • Good ability to communicate and collaborate with various actors. You can express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish.
  • A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You are structured and have good problem-solving skills, which enables you to manage complex projects and ensure they are well anchored. You work independently and take initiative while having a strategic overview and can assess long-term consequences. Since the role involves collaboration with many stakeholders, you are communicative and cooperative. You drive your assignments forward with responsibility and commitment and have the ability to make well-founded decisions in a timely manner.

We Offer You

With us, you will have a fun, creative, and developing job alongside engaged colleagues. We offer:

  • Individual competence development and experience and knowledge exchange in a stimulating work environment.
