Since 2019, Gislaved and Tranemo municipalities have collaborated, among other things, regarding building permit processing. The main office is located in Gislaved, but we have regular staffing in Tranemo to meet the need for on-site presence.

We are currently in an intensive phase and to ensure continued effective processing of building permits, we now see a need to temporarily strengthen the unit with a building permit engineer for one year.

Job Responsibilities

As a building permit engineer, you will be a central part of the community building process in Gislaved and Tranemo. Your main tasks include processing building permit cases and technical consultations, as well as visits to construction sites. You will also work with supervision cases and shoreline protection cases, and be a support for the public in building permit matters through advice and information.

You will be part of an experienced team with six other building permit engineers, where you will work together to develop the organization and ensure that processes run smoothly.

Qualifications

You are a trained construction engineer or have equivalent competence. You have good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and its regulations and building codes. Experience in building permit processing and building inspection from municipal operations or work within the architecture, construction, or building industry is meritorious. We are looking for someone who is proactive, has a good ability to take responsibility, is relationship-building, and service-oriented. A driver's license (B) is required.

The Position

Fixed-term employment for 1 year. Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
