Your New Job
As a construction engineer, you will be part of Jönköping Municipality's technical office and belong to the Production department.
You will be part of the Street Park Forest department, which is responsible for the operation, maintenance, reinvestment, and development of the existing land infrastructure within the municipality. The department manages streets, roads, squares, parks, playgrounds, nature reserves, forests, parking, ports, ferry traffic, industrial tracks, and internal vehicle services.
As part of our team, you play a crucial role in ensuring that the municipality's infrastructure functions efficiently and sustainably. The main focus of this position is to plan, coordinate, and follow up on the preparedness for Street and Winter Road Maintenance for the municipality's streets and roads.
Your work will involve managing communication with media and citizens, so it is important that you feel comfortable engaging with these target groups.
Your Main Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up on winter road maintenance for the municipality's streets and roads.
- Responsible for preparedness within street/park.
- Responsible for preparedness within winter road maintenance.
- Lead operational meetings and communicate continuously with relevant parties.
- Manage cases in our case management system.
- Lead and participate in procurements.
- Lead or participate in projects and ensure that projects meet budget and quality requirements.
- Create and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, such as contractors, citizens, and other interested parties.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A 3-year university degree in engineering with a focus on road and water, logistics, or equivalent solid work experience in the construction industry.
- Experience working in the construction industry.
- Experience in logistics and optimization as well as utilization of construction machinery.
- Experience in financial monitoring and budget work.
- Good IT skills.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language.
- Driver's license B.
It is advantageous if you have education and/or experience in:
- Winter road maintenance.
- Bas-U/P.
- Work on roads.
- AMA (General material and work description).
- Construction law.
- Project management.
- Leadership.

The workplace is based at Vägporten, Vasavägen 10 in Rosenlund. On-call duty is included in the position.
