JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable construction worker for our Street/Park and Construction team!

In this role, you will work on construction projects related to the municipality's infrastructure, such as streets, parks, utility networks, and public areas. The tasks include, among other things, earthworks, paving, curb setting, pipe laying, and maintenance of municipal facilities.

You will be part of a team that is primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance work on the municipality's water and sewage network. The municipality has set a new indicator for the number of replaced pipeline meters per year, and you will be an important part of that work.

The position means that you will work in a close-knit team with:

• Replacement and renewal of the water and sewage network, according to set goals and plans
• Pipe laying and installation of new water and sewage pipes
• Earth and excavation work related to, among other things, water and sewage projects
• Close collaboration with project managers, supervisors, and contractors to optimize the replacement rate

During certain periods, the tasks may also be outside the unit's regular duties, but still within the municipality. The tasks may, in some cases, be performed under time pressure and preceded by more careful planning together with the supervisor. Otherwise, the team is self-sufficient and can manage much of the execution independently. With your technical expertise, you will help develop our operations. On-call duty will be included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have education in construction, road, and water or one of these areas.

PE welding training and certification are required.

You have a technical interest, problem-solving ability, and enjoy working in a small team. The role requires flexibility, drive, and responsibility. A B and BE driver's license and a license for wheel loaders are required. You master Swedish in speech and writing and have good reading comprehension.
