Special Educator for LBS Creative High School in Halland
We offer
At LBS Creative High School, we combine a well-developed systematic quality work with creative learning processes. This places high demands on everyone who works with us, on the learning environment, and on the organization, but it also gives a lot back to you as an employee through great opportunities to develop in your profession in a stimulating work environment and to engage in genuine collegial learning.
We offer our employees continuous professional development through Academedia Academy as well as internal and external professional development. Of course, you will receive collective agreement benefits and insurance, as well as wellness grants, pension advice, and the opportunity for advantageous purchases through net and gross salary exchange.
Your mission
We are looking for an engaged special educator who wants to help develop our two creative high schools within LBS in Halland. The position is divided between our schools in Kungsbacka and Halmstad, where your main placement will be in Kungsbacka. You will be part of the student health teams at both schools and participate in weekly student health meetings – in Halmstad this usually occurs digitally via link. To ensure collaboration at both schools, you will also regularly be present in Halmstad to meet students and staff.
In your role, you will have a particular focus on leading and coordinating efforts for students in need of special support. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, designing and following up on action plans, and contributing to creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Together with school management, student health, and teachers, you will be a key person in the systematic quality work and pedagogical development.
We are looking for someone who is solution-focused, flexible, and confident in their professional role. You enjoy collaborating in a team and have a genuine commitment to ensuring that all students receive the right support and opportunities to develop according to their circumstances. With us, you will work in a dynamic school environment where creativity, presence, and collaboration are at the center.
Your profile
We are looking for you who are an educated special educator with experience from high school and who wants to help develop a creative, flexible, and inclusive learning environment. You have solid special educational competence and are accustomed to working at both the individual and group level. You are skilled at building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and you meet students with clarity, warmth, and understanding of their different needs and motivations.
You are unpretentious, engaged, and have a good sense of humor – while also being structured and confident in your professional role. You enjoy collaborating with the principal and colleagues in pedagogical development work and take responsibility for both the school's overall goals and your own professional development. If you also have creative interests or skills beyond the pedagogical, we see this as a great asset in our school environment.
Other
The position is a permanent employment at 50% with an initial probationary period of 6 months. Start date in August.
You are warmly welcome to submit your application via our recruitment system by May 30. Recruitment may occur before the application deadline. If you have questions about the position, please feel free to contact the principal at LBS Kungsbacka: Christel Dahlin, at 0760-002449.
We kindly but firmly request no direct contact with staffing and recruitment companies or sellers of additional job advertisements.
