About Us

The psychiatric clinic in Eskilstuna is a general psychiatric outpatient clinic for the population of Eskilstuna municipality and is part of the psychiatric clinic at Mälarsjukhuset. Our premises are centrally located in the city within walking distance from both the train station and buses.

The clinic consists of about 60 people with different professions and treatment orientations. In addition to psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, mental health workers, occupational therapists, social workers, physiotherapists, and medical secretaries work at the clinic. The clinic is divided into five different teams; two general psychiatric teams, one bipolar team, one team for extended psychiatric interventions, and one ADHD team. The psychiatric clinic has a large group of psychologists with a broad range of experience and expertise. The group includes specialist psychologists and several psychologists in ongoing specialization who monitor and develop the psychological field, as well as licensed psychologists and psychotherapists, PTP psychologists, and psychological assistants. One of the clinic's managers is a psychologist. In Region Sörmland, there is a PTP and STP study director, a career ladder for psychologists, and a regional competence supply program: YLLLIS - Lifelong Learning in Sörmland, which gives clinical psychologists the opportunity to stay scientifically updated in the form of tips on research studies, seminars, and regular lectures.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to work with psychological treatment, both individually and in groups, assessment interviews prior to psychological treatment, and with investigations in the form of neuropsychiatric and personality assessments. At the clinic, there are psychologists working based on CBT and PDT. We value the clinic's breadth regarding perspectives and treatment offerings and welcome applications from psychologists with different orientations.

As a psychologist at the clinic, you will be part of one of the clinic's teams, which handles most of the patient's treatment efforts. You will also contribute with your expertise and knowledge at the team's treatment conference where the care for the clinic's patients is discussed and planned. Continuous development projects are ongoing at the clinic that you are welcome to participate in or initiate. Examples of this include process-based psychiatry where we work to strengthen evidence and evaluation in our care chains. We also have a quality group responsible for driving improvement work at the clinic.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. Great importance is placed on personal qualities, such as the ability to collaborate within the team and with care neighbors, while we also value if you have the ability to take your own initiatives and work independently.
