About us

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) Sörmland is a regional clinic that meets children aged 0-17 with mental health issues and psychiatric conditions. The operation is divided into different levels of care: first line, specialist, and intensive reception. The triage team's mission is to assess and triage those seeking care with us. Currently, this is done through incoming phone calls and referrals, but to meet the increased demand for care, we need to develop new working methods. The triage team is organizationally part of BUP's intensive reception (BIM). In our operation, there are positions in Nyköping and Eskilstuna. We are currently five nurses looking for another colleague in Eskilstuna. There are good opportunities for remote work one to two days a week.

Your tasks

• Work on the front line of BUP and be the first contact for advice or support via phone and 1177.
• Conduct diagnostic interviews (BCFP) at new registrations to provide appropriate interventions.
• Assess the patient's somatic and psychiatric health status and place it in a holistic perspective.
• Assess and triage referrals together with the assessment team.
• Make an initial sorting of urgent phone cases.

Your qualifications

• Licensed nurse, preferably with experience in psychiatry and/or working with children and young people.
• Specialist training in a relevant specialty is an advantage.
• Empathetic in your approach and comfortable making assessments and giving advice over the phone or via 1177.
• Enjoy working independently but can easily collaborate and communicate with others.
• Ability to handle varying workloads and different work tempos.
• Warmth, care, and a touch of humor are qualities we highly value.
• We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment form
