The child and student health service is a central operation consisting of a unit manager, administrator, youth reception counselor, school counselors, speech therapists, school doctors, school psychologists, school nurses, and special educators, currently 34 employees. The child and student health service primarily focuses on health-promoting and preventive measures. We have a close collaboration with principals and staff in preschools, primary schools, and secondary schools. Interprofessional collaboration is central to the work, where all professional perspectives are important for the student's health and learning. We continuously work together with preschools and schools to develop the various operations with a focus on the best interests of children and students. We are looking for someone who wants to utilize the breadth of their psychological competence as a school psychologist with us!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school psychologist, you play an important role in the interprofessional work to support students' development towards educational goals. Within the school framework, you have the opportunity to develop methods that are beneficial for students and staff. This work may include organizational development, psychological consultation, advising staff, educational initiatives, as well as assessing and analyzing students' needs. Part of the school psychologist's work also involves investigating specific students.

You will be part of the child and student health psychological team, which currently consists of five full-time psychologists. The team is centrally located. The team meets regularly to work together on developing psychological competence in the municipality and to support each other in the professional role. In the team, we value an open and warm climate where we support each other and grow together. Within the framework of your assignment, you have the freedom to manage your own calendar and can, in consultation with your manager, carry out certain tasks from home.

The primary responsibilities of the school psychologist consist of health-promoting and preventive measures at the group, organizational, and individual levels. To facilitate this work, the school psychologist is linked to specific schools. This allows for closer collaboration with the principal, school staff, and local health teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed psychologist who wants to work from an individual, group, and organizational perspective. Experience and knowledge of school operations, as well as familiarity with supervision and consultation, are advantageous. We also seek someone who is experienced in assessing children and youth and thus has a good ability to administer psychological tests, interpret, summarize, and communicate results, both in writing and orally. A driver's license and access to a car are required as the work involves travel within the municipality. We maintain records in Prorenata, so you should have experience with similar work.

As interprofessional work permeates the organization, you need to have good collaboration skills and a desire for close and good cooperation with others. Creating and developing relationships is something that comes naturally to you. You thrive in a role where you can, together with your colleagues, work towards common goals. Furthermore, you have the ability to be self-directed in your work, taking responsibility for your tasks and making necessary decisions within your area of responsibility.
