At the oncology clinic, we work in a knowledge-intensive environment where the clinic's motto “our knowledge your safety” guides us in our daily work. Our goal is to meet expectations for individualized cancer care of the highest standard for all residents of Sörmland.

Your Responsibilities

The oncology outpatient clinic treats and follows up patients with tumor diseases at all stages. Our largest patient groups are patients with prostate cancer, breast cancer, and colon-rectal cancer.

As a nurse in the outpatient clinic and medical treatment, you will work both as an outpatient nurse and a treating nurse. You will have a fun, varied, and independent job. You are the person that patients turn to first regarding follow-up, information, advice, and support concerning planned and ongoing treatment. You solve and complete arising situations creatively. The tasks mainly consist of planning and administering treatments. You will gradually work independently with telephone advice and meet patients in connection with medical visits. If you have contact nurse training, you will be offered the opportunity to work as such after you are confident in providing treatments. This will include participation in MDK meetings, my care plan, network meetings, etc.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse who has worked in healthcare for several years. It is an advantage if you have experience working as a contact nurse, with your own nursing clinic, outpatient work, and/or working with cancer patients and administering chemotherapy. If you are interested in working as a contact nurse but lack the training, you will be offered it within 1-2 years. We place great importance on personal qualities.
