About Us

The Children and Youth Outpatient Clinic and Day Care in Nyköping is a pediatric medical unit for children and adolescents aged 0-18 years. Pediatric care is an inspiring form of healthcare that is constantly evolving. We work with the vision "Sörmland's children, safe in our hands" and strive for high competence among our staff while always focusing on the family's right to participate in the care of their child.

Our unit consists of pediatric nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, play therapists, medical secretaries, and doctors. A dietitian, physiotherapist, and social worker are available part-time at the clinic.

We are now looking for two nurses, one for a permanent position and one for a parental leave substitute.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will perform pediatric nursing work. You will work closely with your colleagues, and there is always someone to ask. Together, we support each other through close and interdisciplinary collaboration while also taking personal responsibility. In your work, you will rotate between the outpatient clinic, emergency care, and day care. The work involves shifts during the day and evening, providing you with both varied tasks and broad knowledge in pediatric care. Over time, you will also have the opportunity to specialize in one or more areas with your own specialist nurse clinics.

At the outpatient clinic, you will engage in reception work, telephone advice via tele-Q, sample collection, and work in our emergency services. In day care, we collaborate with our own clinic as well as the surgical, orthopedic, and ENT clinics. Children and adolescents come for various treatments, planned surgeries, and also emergency surgeries. Nurses and nursing assistants, like the doctors, have specialist areas such as diabetes, allergies, neurology, etc.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse. Specialist training in health and medical care for children and adolescents is an advantage.

As a person, you are stable and secure in your professional role. You are responsible and able to independently structure your work and take initiatives while enjoying teamwork. In patient contact, you maintain a professional and flexible approach based on the situation's demands and have a holistic view of the individual. Personal qualities are highly valued.
