Your Responsibilities

Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work based on the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

As a teacher, you view the entire school day of the student as important, and therefore you collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the school's and after-school care's activities collaborate to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit the students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of various professions.

We have now chosen to invest additional allocated resources in the earlier ages and are therefore looking for teachers for primary school.

Ekängen Schools consist of two schools, Bärstad School with students in grades F-1 and Ekäng School with students in grades 2-6. At our two schools, there are studio workshops for special education and a learning environment in a smaller context. We have a total of 5 after-school departments where we have age-homogeneous groups in all departments except for grades 4-6.

Ekängen Schools are located about 6 km from the city center in a lovely environment. Roxen with its beach is within walking distance from the schools, and we have the forest right at our doorstep. Our schoolyards invite play and movement; we have a large activity park and a full-size artificial grass field. We also have nice and functional premises. There are good bus connections, and it takes about 15 minutes by bus from Linköping's travel center.

In our staff group, we work, based on clear goals, to continuously develop ourselves and our operations. Everyone is important in the team building at Ekängen Schools. You Who Are Applying

In the first instance, we are looking for someone with a teaching license with permission to teach in grades 1-3. In the second instance, we are looking for someone with a completed teacher education for grades 1-3. Alternatively, you are at the end of your education to become a teacher in grades 1-3.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through practice or as an employee. It is a merit if you have taught in grades 1-3 for at least one school year.

In your role as a teacher in grades 1-3, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communicative skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is so that you, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), can organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in grades 1-3, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that occur in your professional role.
