Do you want to work for a company that takes great social responsibility, where high competence and engaged colleagues characterize the atmosphere? Do you want to help develop and improve our waste management? Are you a flexible and structured person with good collaboration skills who thrives in a varied role? Then you might be the right person for the position!

About Us

Micasa Fastigheter i Stockholm AB is a property company that is part of the Stockholm Stadshus AB group.

Our main task is to provide well-managed, safe, and accessible housing for the city's elderly, people with disabilities, and prioritized groups with a weak position in the housing market.

The number of elderly people in Stockholm is growing, and at the request of the city, the company's portfolio needs to grow to meet future needs. To address this need, we have established a new role as a waste controller. We are now looking for someone who wants to help build the future of Stockholm!

About the Position

The role of waste controller is part of the Technical Management unit within the Property Department, where you report to the unit manager of Technical Management. You will be part of a team that includes property managers, engineers, coordinators, and controllers in various areas.

As a waste controller, you will play a central role in monitoring and developing the company's waste management. You will be responsible for analyzing statistics per management object, suggesting measures, and ensuring that collection frequencies and contractors' work maintain high quality. Through site visits, you will check compliance with contracts and ensure that agreed measures are implemented. The role also includes budgeting, forecasting, and cost monitoring within the contractual area. You will have a systematic dialogue with contractors and collaborate to ensure that agreements, guidelines, and coordination function optimally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring costs for waste management
  • Preparation of statistics per management object
  • Analysis of statistics and proposing and implementing necessary measures
  • Monitoring contracts according to current contract management and implementing new agreements
  • Responsible for communication, training, and expertise in dialogue with employees and tenants on practical waste issues
  • Development of technical solutions and efficiency improvements in the company's waste management through pilot projects and implementation of AI technology
  • Ordering additional commitments and procurements according to agreements in consultation with the technical manager
  • Ensuring information in relevant systems for management and maintenance planning
  • Site inspections to ensure and control delivery
  • Follow up on recurring fault reports and complaints

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • At least 5-8 years of experience in the field of waste management
  • Good knowledge of current legislation in the waste area
  • Good knowledge of LOU and contract law
  • High school education
  • Driver's license (B)

It is an advantage to have:

  • Post-secondary education in environmental science, waste management, or similar
  • Experience in public administration or systems like Fast2, Interaxo, and Insikt
  • Experience working with control systems for waste collection systems and/or vacuum systems

Personal Attributes

To succeed in the role of waste controller, we see that you are a structured and solution-oriented person with an eye for both details and the big picture. You enjoy working independently and taking responsibility, while also having good collaboration skills and being used to coordinating work with various stakeholders. You have analytical skills and can translate statistics and contract monitoring into concrete improvement measures. Since the role involves both strategic and operational work, you are flexible and can adapt to changing needs. Furthermore, you are communicative and pedagogical, as you are responsible for disseminating knowledge and ensuring that the right information about waste management is available to both tenants and internal employees.

In this recruitment, we place great emphasis on personal qualities.
