Norrtälje Energi annually organizes Sustainability Days for the sixth graders of Norrtälje municipality. The Sustainability Days are a popular and recurring project that is highly appreciated by the primary schools in Norrtälje.

Job Responsibilities

During the Sustainability Days, classes will rotate through different stations to learn about topics such as energy, cultivation, and water.

As an educator in the Sustainability Days project, you will learn about the existing energy station and heat plant station, and together with a colleague, develop the water station based on the global goals regarding water and sanitation. Your most important task during the Sustainability Days will be to engage and inspire sixth graders about environmental and sustainability issues. The Sustainability Days take place outdoors regardless of the weather at Färsna farm and Arsta combined heat and power plant.

About the Assignment

The project starts in week 36 and ends in week 39, from September 1, 2025, to September 25, 2025.

Week 36              Monday-Thursday     8:00 AM - 3:00 PM 
Week 37 - 39       Monday-Thursday     8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is educated in and/or has a genuine interest in nature, environment, and energy, and who enjoys sharing their knowledge in a pedagogical and inspiring way that suits children and youth. Perhaps you are educated in scientific subjects or have some form of pedagogical training. You need to be able to work independently when necessary but also enjoy collaborating with other staff in the project.

To succeed in this role, in addition to subject knowledge, it is important to have the ability to inspire and create interest in the topics. No formal educational requirements are set, but previous experience working with children and youth is important to thrive in the role. It's also important that you have a strong commitment, drive, and are energetic. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
