JOB DESCRIPTION

As a part-time firefighter, you will be on standby at home and during your time with your primary employer. To ensure an effective and reliable response, it is important to live and work within Skurup's urban area or its immediate vicinity. This allows for a short response time during standby and contributes to a quick reaction when the need arises. The role demands high availability, meaning good accessibility and commitment are crucial for the operation to function optimally.

The rescue service in Skurup has about 220 interventions per year of very varying types. We are about 20 employees divided into 4 teams. Together, we maintain readiness in the municipality with five people at a time, every day of the year and every hour of the day. As a firefighter in the Skurup rescue service, you will be on standby for about 7-9 days a month spread throughout the month, which means you will have some on-call days every week. We train 2-4 evenings a month.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is required of you as an applicant.

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a B driver's license.
• Live and work within Skurup's urban area or its immediate vicinity.
• Flexibility, you must be able to drop what you are doing when the alarm goes off.
• Permission from your employer.
• A passing treadmill test (conducted at the Skurup rescue service).
• A passing medical examination (conducted by Falck).
