Job Description
Do you have a genuine interest in automotive technology and want to work with the latest technology in electric drivetrains and transmissions? AVL is expanding its team with an additional test cell engineer for the team responsible for testing electric drivetrains and transmissions.

What does the role involve?
- Conduct testing of electric drivetrains and transmissions in a modern laboratory environment at the customer’s site
- Prepare, install, and calibrate test objects before tests
- Be responsible for maintenance and calibration of test cells by coordinating with relevant parties
- Troubleshoot and analyze technical deviations to optimize the testing process
- Align and adjust with laser to ensure precision in testing
- Document and report test results and deviations, and work closely with the customer and team
- Be responsible for and drive the deviations that occur in the test cells
The position involves shift work with a schedule that gives you a long weekend every month and also a completely free week, providing a good balance between work and leisure.
Your Profile
- We see that you either have a university degree in a relevant field or at least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician or electrician, combined with a strong interest in vehicles
- You possess a strong drive and have an initiative-taking ability. You take great responsibility for your tasks, and your work style is characterized by accuracy, risk awareness, and quality
- We see that you have social skills and are communicative. We work in teams and in close collaboration, therefore we are looking for a true team player!
- You have good computer skills and experience with the Office suite
- A valid driver's license (B) is required
- It is advantageous if you have experience with electric vehicles, transmissions, or work with testing and development in a controlled environment
- It is also advantageous to have a basic understanding of electrical engineering and good knowledge in this area. As you will be working close to voltage (V), internal training will be provided.

About the Company
AVL is the world's largest privately-owned company for the development, simulation, and testing of drivetrains (hybrids, internal combustion engines, transmissions, electric drive systems, batteries, fuel cells, and control technology) for passenger cars, trucks, construction machinery, large engines, and their integration into vehicles.
The position is located at our facility in Södertälje. Your work is scheduled in a 4-shift system where you combine daytime and evening work. The schedule offers a long weekend and also a completely free week every month!
