Engineer in Aviation Systems

About the Position

As an engineer with us, you will work on both the operation and development of the basic aircraft in the JAS 39 Gripen as well as studies related to upcoming combat aircraft programs. Specifically, we are looking for an engineer to work with landing gear, fuselage, and system installation.

Your tasks will include supporting the Swedish Armed Forces' CAMO in operational and maintenance issues within your material groups by monitoring, investigating, and addressing identified deficiencies and needs for change. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the Armed Forces and industry. You will also participate in the JAS 39 Gripen development projects and future combat aircraft systems. In this role, you will be involved in analyzing and compiling the Armed Forces' needs, formulating requirements for procurement, and following up on deliveries from suppliers and handovers to the Armed Forces.

You will become part of an engaged group with many competencies where we know you will make a difference.

In addition to working within FMV, you will also collaborate with the customer, the Armed Forces or export customers, as well as industry to solve your tasks.

The position is based in Stockholm. Travel, primarily domestic, will occur.

About You

You are either a civil or aerospace engineer or have equivalent competence acquired in another way, such as a technical officer with experience working with aviation systems.

You need to have knowledge of aviation systems and their subsystems, civilian or military. Experience with fuselage/structure and landing gear is an advantage. If you have experience from aviation operations or working in a CAMO organization, that is a plus.

It is important that you have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
