Job Responsibilities

The position is located in the Department of Process Technology at KTH and will focus on CFD simulation of heat transfer.

This is part of our operations for sustainable processes and decarbonization of the industry. The current postdoctoral project focuses on CFD simulations of chemically reacting flows with applications in heat recovery. In this project, we consider flow, turbulence, mixing, the chemical reaction with finite rate, and conjugate heat transfer in the simulations. The project will include advanced heat exchangers of both elementary and real types. We use both high-fidelity simulations to capture the details of the chemicals associated with heat transfer and commercial codes (ANSYS) to simulate the complex heat exchanger. The work will involve setting up simulations, merging complex geometries, using supercomputers, data analysis, and presentation of results. Data analysis may include some coding in Python to create/modify short scripts for using machine learning or modal analysis techniques.

We Offer

  • An employment at a leading technical university that creates knowledge and competence for a sustainable future
  • Engaged and ambitious colleagues, as well as a creative, international, and dynamic environment
  • Work in Stockholm with proximity to nature
