The outpatient care has the mission to diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions in children and adolescents up to 18 years in all municipalities of the county. Within the outpatient care, there are about 70 employees with different competencies - social workers, psychologists, doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, special educators, caregivers, and medical care administrators. We work from several different theoretical perspectives and are open to broadening our competencies in this area. The outpatient care is located in nice premises in Örebro city center and has a good working climate with high ceilings!

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is part of specialized psychiatric care. The organization includes outpatient clinics, enhanced outpatient care, and an inpatient ward with acute services. A contact center called "First Contact" for children and young people with mental health issues is also part of the organization, tasked with providing advice, making assessments, and triaging/sorting to the appropriate level of care. We work with treatment both individually and in groups, as well as with both planned and acute visits and telephone advice. We also offer psychoeducational treatment interventions for patients and relatives. Together, we are around 150 employees working with common processes and goals. We work in multiprofessional teams based on a holistic view of the individual and adapt our care interventions to the patient's needs and circumstances. We strive to promote the child's mental health and development, as well as the involvement of relatives in the care.

PTP psychologist for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Outpatient Care

Job Responsibilities

The job responsibilities include qualified psychological interventions in the form of assessment, treatment, and investigation. Treatment is provided in groups and individually. You will work both independently and in interdisciplinary teams. You will participate in joint conferences and professional meetings. We collaborate extensively with childcare, schools, social services, and other healthcare organizations. We actively work to adapt and develop the organization. We are looking for colleagues who want to help develop and contribute to our work.

According to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations, your job responsibilities include both individual-focused and other psychological work. Your supervisor will guide you regularly throughout the year, and together you will design the service plan that will serve as the foundation for your PTP year. Together with other PTP psychologists in the region, you will participate in our well-developed training program that includes interesting lectures, seminars, and study visits. The study director of the PTP program will be with you as support throughout your PTP year.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in psychology. You have experience in assessment and treatment of children and adolescents within specialized psychiatry. As a person, you are responsible, flexible, structured, creative, and easy to collaborate with. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
