Supplier Quality Manager at SAAB

Do you have a background in supplier quality assurance, a genuine technical interest, and enjoy working in an international environment? On behalf of SAAB, we are currently looking for someone who wants to take on a new challenge as a Supplier Quality Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining high supplier quality within Gripen Procurement, Saab Aeronautics.

Location: Linköping
Extent: 100%
Working hours: Office hours, Monday-Friday
Employment: This is a long-term consulting assignment with the possibility of employment and over-recruitment to the company.

Your Role

Your main task is to investigate and coordinate deviations and quality issues to ensure that the supplier base delivers quality products primarily to Gripen. This is done through close collaboration with international suppliers and cross-functional Saab Supplier Teams.

You will work closely with Saab Sourcing and Supply Managers to support strategies and goals regarding quality. Within the quality process, you will receive, validate, create, follow up, and analyze quality remarks. You will also be responsible for creating control plans for Saab's receiving inspection. You will have close collaboration and dialogue with Saab's design engineers, production representatives, and quality department related to purchased materials and supplier deviations. You will act as an important link between Saab and the suppliers with the mission to ensure that the suppliers deliver high-quality products.

You are analytical and can make connections between a series of deviations and larger underlying issues. You have an eye for detail, as well as the ability to see the bigger picture. You are motivated to continuously streamline and improve operations. At the same time, you thrive in a process-driven organization and have a deep understanding of work processes and their significance.

You are flexible and take great personal responsibility in planning and executing activities and tasks. You enjoy working in an international environment and are comfortable both in production areas and in management meetings.

Required Skills

• Interest and experience in production, design, quality, or procurement
• Excellent collaboration, analytical, and communication skills in both Swedish and English
• Driven and independent in your working style
• Passion for improvements

Desired Skills

• Master's or bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical education
• Knowledge of supplier quality assurance and quality tools
• Knowledge of production processes
• Knowledge of procurement / sourcing / purchasing

This position requires you to pass a security clearance based on applicable security protection regulations. For positions requiring security clearance, additional citizenship requirements may apply.
