Materials Engineer with a Focus on Metallic Materials

Are you a meticulous and analytical materials engineer with an interest in metallic materials? We are looking for someone who can independently conduct metallographic examinations of components manufactured through additive manufacturing (LPBF).

Your Role

Independently conduct metallographic examinations of components manufactured through additive manufacturing (LPBF). Handle both light optical microscopes and scanning electron microscopes with associated advanced software. Write technical reports based on your examinations and evaluate the results in accordance with the quality requirements set for the components.

Who Are You?

You have an academic background in materials science, preferably focused on metallic materials. No prior qualified work experience is required, although previous work in a metallographic lab is a strong advantage.

As a person, you are meticulous, analytical, and able to express yourself easily in both spoken and written English and Swedish.

About the Team

We are a large department with about 30 materials and chemical engineers located in our own laboratory building. We are a dynamic and diverse group, and your closest colleagues will be two junior/mid-senior materials engineers working with metallographic examinations during qualifications and development of components manufactured using additive manufacturing (LPBF).
