Your Role

At Underwater Systems, we work with several exciting products such as torpedoes, mine systems, and various underwater vehicles (ROV/AUV). Our products are subjected to the unique loads and conditions that come with operating below the water surface.

We are currently looking to expand our calculation team. With us, you will have the opportunity to work on many different types of calculations. We perform everything from fairly simple eigenfrequency analyses or pressure calculations to advanced analyses of dynamic processes.

Our workplace is characterized by a lack of prestige and good collaboration where we solve our tasks together. One of our most important tasks as calculation engineers is communication with our designers, so we can solve design problems before they arise. We value being a workplace where community, stimulating tasks, and well-being are highly regarded.

Software used within the calculation section includes Ansys, Abaqus, Nastran, and LS-Dyna.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who enjoys performing many different types of analyses (thermal, pressure, eigenfrequencies, vibration, shock, etc.). As a person, we see that you have an analytical approach and that you are driven in your work. You take initiative and responsibility and can work both independently and in a team.

Desired Qualifications:

• Education as a Master of Science in Engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering or technical physics with a focus on strength. Alternatively, if you have an education/experience deemed equivalent.
• Several years of work experience as a calculation engineer.
• You are well acquainted with tools such as Ansys, Abaqus, Nastran, and LS-Dyna, or have knowledge of equivalent tools.
• Communicates well in both spoken and written form, in both Swedish and English.
