Childcare Worker 50% at Vasaskolan

Vasaskolan is a three-parallel F-3 school located in central Strängnäs, just a 5-minute walk from the Central Station. We currently have about 260 students. The school has an after-school program divided into two departments. We have a stable student base and a competent staff.

At Vasaskolan, we set high standards for both students and staff and continuously work to develop our operations and teaching to create good learning situations for our students in the after-school program. The approach and leadership in the classroom are important parts of our work.

We are now looking for a childcare worker 50% at Vasaskolan starting in August 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role includes work in the after-school program according to the current curriculum and local goals, as well as assisting with other tasks that may be assigned to you. You will be scheduled every afternoon. There may be opportunities to temporarily increase hours in the future.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has/is:

• a documented completed childcare education,
• experience working in after-school programs and the ability to adapt the activities based on all children's individual needs and conditions,
• well acquainted with the curriculum for after-school programs,
• good experience working with digital tools as support in the work,
• strong knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as documentation is required.

As a person, we seek someone who always sees the possibilities in every situation and has a salutogenic approach, as we see this as a prerequisite for developing students and the organization. You are calm, stable, positive, and possess good leadership qualities along with a strong commitment to building relationships. You are driven and take the initiative for development work based on the students' conditions and the needs of the organization. You have a willingness and ability to collaborate with adults, both colleagues and guardians.
