Substitute Workers for Adult and Support Housing

Both units have accommodations and training apartments for individuals with various types of issues, such as addiction and mental health variations. Our goal is to create quality of life for individuals and reduce the need for support from social services. The difference between the units is the age groups. In the adult housing unit, we assist individuals aged 21 and older. In the support housing unit, we generally assist younger individuals, from 16 to 20 years old.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a housing supporter, you are responsible for providing support and motivating individuals both psychologically and practically. You assist with various daily activities to contribute to a functional everyday situation for them and monitor their well-being and health. A large part of the work involves motivating users rather than providing care services.

Other tasks you will perform include:

• documentation
• MI (motivational interviewing)
• providing support regarding financial issues and preparation for independent living
• contact with authorities.

We offer a varied job with a broad target group, where you will interact with various internal and external actors. You will have the opportunity to plan and manage your work based on assignments. With us, you will work both in teams and independently.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you need to have a high school diploma and a B driver's license.

We prefer that you have completed or are currently pursuing a YH education, university education, or equivalent. If you have work experience in psychiatry, addiction issues, co-morbidity, or social work, that is also a plus.

You are self-driven, motivated, and reflective in your work role. As a person, you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. It is important that you are confident in yourself and can set boundaries when necessary. Of course, you have the user in focus and find it easy to build good relationships with them.
