Dedicated Colleagues Wanted for LSS Children's Home in Eskilstuna

We are looking for dedicated colleagues for one of our LSS children's homes, where you will be part of our team and create the best possible quality of life for our residents every day!

The Care and Welfare Administration has three LSS children's homes, centrally located in Eskilstuna, where we work with children and youth aged 0-20 years. Children with disabilities and diagnoses within the autism spectrum or intellectual disabilities. Here, children live who cannot stay in their home environment. We are advertising five positions as residential support workers and one position as a support pedagogue as we are welcoming another child into our home. The employment forms vary for the different positions:

• 1 support pedagogue. Permanent position
• 4 residential support workers. Permanent positions
• 1 residential support worker combined position. Temporary position from 250501-251001.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of support pedagogue, you will guide and support colleagues in adapting the operations based on evidence-based methods. You will establish implementation plans and support colleagues in these as well as in follow-ups. You will work with PFA (pedagogical approach and working method) and motivate colleagues by bringing new ideas and ways of thinking. Your work will be in close collaboration with colleagues, coordinators, group leaders, and unit managers. You will collaborate with guardians, schools, habilitation, and assistance among others. Collaboration occurs both internally and externally. The support pedagogue position also includes operational and user-centered work as a residential support worker. See more info below.

As a residential support worker, you will assist the user with, for example, clear pedagogical methods, social training, toilet routines, and other care. You will participate in outings, walks, activities, play, and music. Daily chores such as cleaning and cooking are included. Furthermore, the work is structured with clear routines and action plans to meet the users' needs and drive the operations. You may be the contact person for a user and are responsible for, among other things, follow-ups of implementation plans. We document in VIVA.

As staff, you should be able to delegate medication, provide care, and ensure safety. In all positions, you will have goal pauses and work on a schedule where working hours vary depending on the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the position of support pedagogue, we see that you have education as a support pedagogue/support assistant, or other behavioral science education deemed equivalent (at least 60 credits). We also want you to have experience with implementation plans and follow-ups of care. If you have previously worked as a support pedagogue and/or have experience supporting and leading work groups, it is meritorious.

For the position of residential support worker, we see that you have completed upper secondary education. It is meritorious if you have a childcare education or nursing assistant education, but it is not a requirement.

For all positions, we see that you have experience working with individuals with disabilities and care. You are accustomed to using IT in your work, familiar with documentation, and have good knowledge of Swedish both in speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you, as an applicant, have knowledge/experience/education in:

• PFA (pedagogical approach and working method).
• Sign/object communication, visual support, and adaptations.
• Children with disabilities and diagnoses within the autism spectrum, neurological or neuropsychiatric and intellectual disabilities.
• Children or adults with challenging behaviors.
• Driver's license.
