Ung Fritid in Kumla is Hiring

Ung Fritid is part of the Leisure Department at the Culture and Leisure Administration in Kumla Municipality. The administration creates conditions for good living conditions for all residents and visitors of Kumla. We also contribute to creating a meaningful leisure time through experiences and providing opportunities for creativity and health.

Ung Fritid currently consists of two youth centers, Kvisten and Kumlaby, which are open Monday to Saturday every week. In addition to our youth centers, the staff also works with other activities related to youth, such as holiday activities, sports activities, excursions, and more.

Ung Fritid Kumla is a member of KEKS (Quality and Competence in Collaboration), which means a strong focus on youth participation and influence. We believe that young people develop best in an environment where they are involved and take responsibility. Ung Fritid belongs to the leisure department, which also manages, among other things, swimming pools, sports facilities, and leisure banks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your tasks will involve working together with existing staff to run and develop Ung Fritid's meeting places and the municipality's general youth work.

You will work in the daily operations at one of Kumla's two youth centers, Kvisten and Kumlaby, and in the break activities at the municipality's three secondary schools. Meeting with young people is central to all our activities. Your job is to be a safe point for the young people you meet and to work with their development. You will also be responsible for one or more assignments where the requirement to be proactive, responsible, and receptive to the thoughts and wishes of young people is significant. Collaboration internally and externally is common.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should have a high school diploma and a valid driver's license (B). It is desirable if you are a trained leisure leader. Education as a leisure pedagogue or other higher education relevant to working with children and youth is an advantage, such as behavioral science, public health, cultural studies, social work, or other education deemed relevant to the tasks. As a person, you are structured, self-driven, creative, and engaged in your work.
