The Education Administration is responsible for the municipality's childcare and educational activities from preschool and after-school care to preschool classes, primary schools, and adapted schools.

We are now looking for substitute teachers for Askersund's preschools. As a substitute teacher in preschool, we offer you a varied job where you meet competent colleagues and wonderful children and play a vital role in creating a safe and learning environment.

Askersund's preschools consist of 13 preschools in 8 locations: Askersund, Zinkgruvan, Åmmeberg, Hammar, Olshammar, Snavlunda, Rönneshytta, and Åsbro.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities mainly consist of practical and pedagogical work to stimulate children's development, safety, and learning. The work is based on the curriculum for preschools and other governing documents that regulate the activities. As a substitute, you will follow the daily schedule and, together with the staff, structure the day so that it is safe and educational for the children.

QUALIFICATIONS

We need you when regular staff are sick, on vacation, or on other leave. As a substitute, you can be booked at short notice on the days you have indicated you are available to work. This could involve bookings for shorter or longer assignments. You will enter your available times in TimeCarePool. When you are booked, you will receive a notification via SMS with information about where and when you will work. For this to work, you must have a mobile phone so we can offer you work. The job can be combined with studies or other activities.

We are looking for someone who:

• has a pedagogical education such as a childcare degree or other educational qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer. Ongoing studies in childcare education or teacher programs and experience within our operations are advantageous.
• has completed high school education.
• is at least 18 years old.
• master the Swedish language in speech and writing in a way that allows you to communicate with children, staff, and relatives.
• has a driver's license (having access to a car is an advantage but not a requirement).

To work in preschool, you must, by law, submit a certificate from the police's criminal record. We place great importance on your personal suitability, where a positive attitude and a pleasant demeanor are important qualities.
