SiS Youth Home Bergsmansgården will expand in 2025 and is now preparing to open a new satellite unit for non-compulsory school girls at Granhult near Ramsberg in Lindesberg municipality. The Granhult unit plans to open a locked and an open department with a total capacity for eleven girls.

Job Description

Do you want to help create the vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our youth towards new and less risky ways of living.

As a treatment assistant, you will ensure that the routines in the department function as they should. You play a significant role in the stability and safety of our youth and clients, and you are the foundation of daily life, including schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. You contribute to maintaining safety in the institution according to our routines, and documentation is an essential part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and help ensure that our youth/clients receive the safety and security they need to break old habits. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to a schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.

As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformations. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, great empathy, and the ability to build good relationships. You have strong communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues.

You should also have:

• Completed upper secondary education
• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care.
• Driver's license B
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Education in care or documented knowledge and experience in social services

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
