IFO Children and Youth is evolving in preparation for the new Social Services Act! An exciting transformation is underway throughout the Social Services in Degerfors to meet the need for a more preventive, accessible, and knowledge-based Social Services when the new Social Services Act comes into effect on July 1, 2025. Within IFO Children and Youth, this work has progressed significantly together with our collaboration partners, such as all staff in preschools, schools, the Police, Health and Medical Care, and civil society, where we are all now being trained in the collaboration model Backa barnet. Backa barnet is a common model to ensure children's rights, early identification of children's needs, and coordinated support. Ensuring every child's right to the best possible start in life is our most important task. We are looking for a driven and committed foster care secretary who wants to join our exciting development journey!

The position includes recruiting, investigating, and supervising foster homes, contact families, and contact persons. Matching an intervention to a child's needs is a central role in the foster care secretary's work. We work based on the tripartite parenthood; Social Services, foster homes, and parents, where the child's perspective is the core of everything. In your work, you will collaborate closely with the child's social worker to ensure that the placed child receives good care and development in their foster home. Striving for quality in foster care is an obvious part of your daily work. As a foster care secretary, you will be part of the children and youth group at IFO. You will also be part of various development projects as we constantly review ourselves to ensure qualitative foster care.

Work during evenings and weekends may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has the ability to motivate, create engagement, and participation. You have good communication and collaboration skills and can maintain good relationships with both colleagues and external and internal partners.

You have a strong interest in quality, development, and improvement issues. You feel confident working independently but also as part of a team. You can document and are familiar with the laws governing our field of work.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to have the drive and commitment to create good conditions for foster care together with your colleagues. As a person, you are meticulous, independent, and adaptable when conditions and planning change in your work. Since the job involves many contacts, both internally and externally, you need to have excellent collaboration skills, be outgoing, and positive. You should be able to express yourself easily in both speech and writing.

As the job requires travel, a B driver's license is a requirement. Previous experience as a foster care secretary or other roles within IFO Children and Youth, or other experience working with children, youth, and parents in collaboration with other stakeholders, is desirable.
