Support Assistant for Group Housing within LSS

About the Operation

The position is located at the residence, Hantverkargatan. The residence is located in central Hallsberg within walking distance to the center. It is a group housing with 5 places. Individuals living in the group housing have their own apartment with shared spaces for cooking and socializing. The group housing is for individuals who need supervision and care. Staff is available around the clock.

Job Responsibilities

As a Support Assistant at the group housing Hantverkargatan, you will work with:

• Participating in the user's daily life and providing support in their everyday activities based on the established implementation plan and set goals
• Performing care tasks and certain delegated healthcare tasks
• Documenting and working in Hallsberg municipality's operational system
• Participating in ongoing operational development and further education.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a high school diploma from the nursing program or the child and leisure program. You may also have other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Computer skills are a requirement. We place great emphasis on competence and personal suitability where collaboration skills and flexibility are highly valued.

The assignment requires you to be attentive to the signals you receive and to encourage the user to express their own will. An important task is to work to ensure that the user is involved in planning their support, as well as in community life in general, which requires good pedagogical skills. Some of our users manage a lot on their own and primarily need support in the form of verbal guidance and motivation, while others may have a great need for support and assistance in all situations.
