Veidekke Prefab is part of the Veidekke Group, one of the largest contractors in the Nordic region, and has a long tradition of manufacturing high-quality concrete products for the construction and civil engineering industry. Our factory in Sala has a stable and long-term future, and we are now looking for an economist who wants to be part of our team and contribute to the development of the business.

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for the company's financial and payroll functions, while also handling some HR-related administrative tasks. You will work closely with both management and production in a flat organization where decision-making paths are short and collaboration is key to success, making you a key person in the business.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Accounting and reporting – ongoing bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, tax reporting, reconciliations, and annual financial statements.
• Financial management – monitoring results, preparing monthly and quarterly reports, key figure analysis, and reporting to the group in Norway.
• Payroll management and some HR administration – administration of salaries, occupational pensions, company cars, and sick pay. Administration of the annual wheel and support in personnel-related matters.
• Support to management – act as a sounding board for the CEO and other key individuals in the organization.

As we are a small organization, we appreciate a humble attitude and a willingness to pitch in where needed. Start date is as soon as possible, according to agreement.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with good experience in finance and accounting who enjoys an independent role where you can make an impact. You have analytical skills and a good understanding of financial relationships. To succeed in the role, you need to be proactive, structured, and have a humble attitude and a desire to contribute to the team's and company's common results.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Experience in accounting and financial management
• Experience in preparing annual financial statements and tax reporting
• Experience in handling payroll administration
• Knowledge of the business system Monitor is an advantage
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
