JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Due to one of our association developers retiring, the culture and leisure administration is seeking an association developer who wants to help develop the conditions for the association life in Hallstahammar municipality. We believe that a rich association and leisure life is important for people's well-being. Here you will have the opportunity to help shape new working methods to continue to protect and develop our association life. The operation is in a development phase where several larger projects are underway. For example, a feasibility study is ongoing regarding the construction of a full-size sports hall and a central meeting place for associations, civil society, and municipal operations.

The Role of Association Developer

As an association developer, you will work alongside our other association developer in the culture and leisure administration's staff as a support function and are directly organized under the head of administration. You will be responsible for collaboration, systematic dialogue, information, and advice to associations operating in the municipality. You will be responsible for sports, culture, exercise, and leisure facilities, trails, tracks, rental of premises, and key distribution with associated processes as well as their development. Driving and developing activities within the area of operations is also part of the assignment. You will handle association grants and scholarships. You are also an important support to the association-run lending library of sports and leisure equipment.

You will be responsible for the operation's budget, planning, implementation, follow-up, and analysis as well as for the development of the operation. In the assignment, you will be responsible for producing the operation's documentation, investigations, cases, and similar for the board and administration and contribute to the operational planning in the administration. You express yourself well in speech and writing and understand your role towards the board. You will actively represent the operation in relevant networks, forums, and contexts.

Your assignment includes developing the digitization work and being the system administrator for the new association, grant, and booking system. Likewise, you will communicate and make visible the work being done via the external website, association mailings, intranet, and more.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is development-oriented, outgoing, communicative, and enjoys collaborating with others. You have an academic education in a relevant field (e.g., behavioral science, sports science, political science) or have other acquired competencies that the employer assesses as equivalent. Education in project and process management and/or innovation management is meritorious, as well as experience working with the systems Rbok and R-card.

You have experience working with associations and civil society as well as working in a politically governed organization. You have a systematic working method, are process-oriented, structured, and meticulous, keep to deadlines, learn quickly, and seek out the information and facts you need, and are comfortable leading projects, meetings, and workshops.

Your ability to collaborate and build relationships is crucial for driving the work forward. With skilled communication and pedagogical ability, you guide others with attentiveness and commitment. Your analytical ability and sound judgment ensure well-founded decisions and priorities, even under pressure. You are a change driver who, with humility and an inclusive approach, acts with decisiveness and takes responsibility for promoting development and progress.

OTHER

  • The position includes varying working hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Hallstahammar municipality is part of a Finnish administrative area, and we welcome applicants with knowledge of Finnish in speech and writing.
  • A B driver's license is required (manual transmission).
  • You have good knowledge of digital systems such as Microsoft 365.
