Hulebäcksgymnasiet was built in 1995 and has an excellent reputation in the region. Currently, about 1800 students attend Hulebäcksgymnasiet across eleven different high school programs, both vocational and academic preparatory. The school is characterized by dedicated staff, high satisfaction, good resources, and happy students. We have well-functioning program teams where the teachers who teach a program form a working group. Each program has its own base in the school, where the teachers' offices are located and where most of the teaching takes place. This approach fosters close contacts between teachers and students and with the school's student care team.

In teams with overall responsibility for their students' knowledge development, we work with the individual's learning at the center and with a well-developed mentoring system.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will teach students in the high school's introductory program. Students who have grades from elementary school will be offered instruction in high school courses. Since all our students have significant support needs, it is essential that you are confident in your professional role and accustomed to adapting teaching to enable students to achieve their goals.

The teaching groups are relatively small, with 5-15 students in each group. The position also includes extended mentorship with individual guidance and conversations with students and guardians, as well as actively contributing to student health work.

Here, we work to ensure that every student has the best conditions to create a safe and stimulating environment where students can develop together.

You are expected to be a skilled and unpretentious team player, a good listener who always wants what is best for the student. The work places high demands on good communication and that you express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching license and eligibility to teach Swedish, English, or mathematics in combination with another subject, for elementary and high school. Furthermore, you have good digital competence and experience working on various digital platforms. We see that you have the ability to build good relationships with your students and that you can inspire them to achieve higher goal fulfillment. We expect you to work formatively to provide students with good conditions to reach their goals and that you can adapt teaching based on both the group and the individual.

You need to be brave, flexible, unpretentious, and willing to try new methods. We see your passion for working closely with teams as a given.

It is also important that you long to work at a school where we together create opportunities for students to develop the knowledge and skills they need to carry forward into life.

In the mentoring role, communication and engagement are essential qualities, and you are expected to take significant responsibility for your mentees.

You have a particular interest in students in need of special support, and it is advantageous if you have previously worked specifically with this target group. Here, you must be flexible and unpretentious and always have the student's best interest in mind.

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
