Ortopeden Sahlgrenska consists of a 7-day care department, day care, and the Orthopedic Clinic, which is open Monday to Friday.

The patients in the department are mainly adults undergoing planned orthopedic spinal and tumor surgery, but we also care for children and conduct emergency operations, which means there is a great variety in tasks. With us, you will have a developing, fun, and independent job as a nursing assistant! You will work with pre- and post-operative care in a multidisciplinary team.

Job Responsibilities

In your work as a nursing assistant, you will be involved in basic care, wound dressings, pre- and post-operative care, nursing documentation in Melior, and sampling.

About you

You are a trained nursing assistant. Previous work experience as a nursing assistant in hospital care, specialist training focusing on surgery, orthopedics, or pediatrics, and mentoring training are advantageous for the position.

We believe that you are stable and secure in yourself. You have no problem planning, prioritizing, and being flexible when needed in your work. You are patient-focused and show care in your interactions with colleagues and relatives. It is natural for you to collaborate in the care team as you come into contact with different professional categories. You also need to be clear when communicating with colleagues and patients. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
