About the Organization

We are looking for a licensed psychologist to work within preschools and schools in Trollhättan Municipality. You will be employed and have your office at a centrally organized resource unit, under Child and Student Support. Your supervisor is the unit manager for Child and Student Support.

The unit consists of psychologists, speech therapists, special educators, social educators, and coordinators for adapted primary school. We have a total of 5.5 positions for school psychologists. You will be part of a group of colleagues who support each other and actively care about well-being and having fun at work. You will have access to regular supervision, both internally and externally, and will be offered flexible work that can be developed based on your own interests, skills, and experience. A psychological management system is established and implemented to support the work. In the group, there is a PLA (psychological management responsible) who ensures the quality of the psychologists' assignments.

Our premises are within comfortable walking distance from the Central Station.

Job Responsibilities

You will work with child and student health teams in preschools and schools within Trollhättan Municipality. The teams and student health work are led by the principal of the preschool and school. As a school psychologist, you will work at the organizational, group, and individual levels, primarily with preventive and health-promoting initiatives. Remedial measures will also occur based on clear questions. In practice, this means that you, as a psychologist, contribute to the application of psychological knowledge in the practical everyday life of preschools and schools. As a school psychologist, you will be part of a professional group along with other school psychologists who meet regularly. Exciting development work is underway in Trollhättan Municipality to make preschools and schools more equitable, and as part of this, there is a current focus on developing child and student health work across the city.

Qualifications

You must be a licensed psychologist. Since the work requires a good ability to structure and delineate tasks, as well as the ability to collaborate with many different professions, we place great importance on life experience and personal qualities. A driver's license is desirable as the work involves moving between different workplaces.
